Mourning to Dancing

This blog serves as a way to share my heart after losing the one I loved, Jody Moreing Frankfurt, to lung cancer. My hope is that as I learn to mourn her loss, that I will glorify God. Thank you for reading this blog! Please feel free to comment - it is a tremendous encouragement to me.

Why I Love Annie and Mia, in no particular order.

1. They send me scriptures all the time. Always at the right time.

2. They memorize God's word.

3. They remind me of everything beautiful about their sister.

4. They are true worshippers.

5. They know how to make nachos, and when to make them.

6. Each is wonderfully artistic and shares their gifts with the body of Christ.

7. They are both dedicated moms and wives who have excelled.

I am certain that the Moreing girls are a gift from God Himself; and it humbles me just to think how blessed I am to know them.

Hey Scott:

I am checking your blog pretty regularly. Thanks for taking the time to update from time to time.

Psalm 33:20-22
"Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart rejoices in Him, because we trust in His holy name. Let Thy lovingkindness, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in Thee."

Scotty,

Trudy and I have as of late been checking your blog often to have opportunity to respond to any recent posts. The time is at hand :)!

We often think of you and pray for God to give you times of supernatural comfort and peace - "You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You because he trusts in You" (Is. 26:3 NKJV)

Sounds like your blessed "sisters" Annie & Mia are instruments in God's hands for just that - to point you in a timely ways to Him!

They sound much like your beloved Jody. No wonder you love them...
We could tell they were special ladies when we briefly met them that day at the hospital.

Oh, thank you Lord for the body of Christ, especially at times when we grieve so. We really do need each other. Thank you ladies for being there for your your "brother"!

"But we do not want you to be uniformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve, as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus...For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord."(1 Thess. 4:13-14,16-17).

"And behold I am coming quickly...Behold I am coming quickly...I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end...I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star...He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming quickly'. Amen, come Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord be with all the saints. Amen" (Rev. 22:7,12-13,16,20-21)

Happy Birthday, Scott!
Thank you for giving Mainstream the gift of your leading worship again. It has been such a blessing. The lyrics today were espcially praise-worthy.
God is obviously pouring out his grace on you as you give Him the glory.

Scott,

I didn't want to forget to thank you for working alongside Helen (my boss at Hantal) in recording her songs.

You've been really ministering to her thru your times together. She often talks of you in this. Thank you brother!

And Happy Birthday from Trudy & I as well.

We pray that your inner man continues to be renewed day by day in the midst of the ongoing battle with feeling the deep loss of your beloved, and missing her so...

Only God (& you) truly know the depth of those times, and music is one means given to bless Him, and focus outward, and in so doing receive joy...a taste of heaven.

We can imagine how the gift of music must minister to your own heart at this time while it honors and extols God as praiseworthy.

While Jody is praising God in perfect joy, many are being drawn to moments of joy (thru worship) in this life thru God's gift to you.

Thank you for not laying it down too long for certainly God is given you a one of a kind gift for the benefit of lifting others to the throne room of heaven.

This given that God might recieve glory and Christ's body a greater trust in Him, and an outward focus ourselves that we so greatly need in the daily battle.

Know that you have a ministry that is producing eternal fruit, and many will have more to praise God for in heaven because of it.

Love in the Savior...

Scott-
I still continue to pray for you almost daily! I hope you had a blessed birthday (my aunt Avah told me that Warren was able to go out with you to celebrate). I was blessed to hear you're playing again in Mainstream. Press on, my dear brother in Christ. I am battling with you in prayer.
